yup, pix or it didn't happen.

Oh and I just bought a balaclava. I think it's designed for motorbikes or skiing but thought I'd have a go for when I'm taking the dogs and it frikkin freezin. My GF hates it when I wear my winter hat let alone this bad boy :)

Just bought one of these chappies.

Image

It's a Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I usually buy phones outright to avoid inflated prices with contracts, but the Black Friday deal I got this thing for pays off the phone and gives me 50GB of data per month over my current 4GB and actually works out cheaper for the airtime than my current Giffgaff SIM does; so it was a no brainer really.

I am seriously going to miss my Nexus 6 though, simultaneously the best phone and best named phone that I've ever owned. It's getting a bit long in the tooth now though.

I've been looking at one of those, who did you get the deal through?

It's in their Black Friday section. £45 per month, 24 month contract with no upfront costs on o2 with 50GB of data and unlimited everything else.

I dunno, £45 a month for 24 months is only about £180 for the cost of the phone service over that period. The handset is £900 by itself. I've only ever had one £45 a month contract in my life, considered it a huge mistake after two of those months, but that was when the phones cost about £600 to buy sim-free.

Precisely. I currently pay £10pm for a 4GB SIM deal. £240 over the two years compared with £180 and 46GB more data is a ludicrous jump. It's helping me forget the fact that I'm paying £900 for a bloody phone.

Bought a Steel Series headset in the Black Friday sales.

Before anyone makes any 'more money than sense' comments, I work from home a couple of days every week almost all of which is spent in conference calls via Skype - a comfortable headset is a must and RPS and others rated this one as spectacularly comfortable.

My old Corsair one works fine, but is very old and the padding on the overhead bit is crumbling away. One, I am not a fan of black rubber dandruff, two it makes it uncomfortable on my shaved noggin.

That's a perfectly reasonable price for a headset! ¬_¬

I bought a new iPad Pro last week, with the pencil and everything. It's to replace my (damaged) iPad Air, so it's a huge upgrade in terms of performance.

£80 isn't too bad for a headset Snowy. My current Diablo Steelseries would have been over £60 if I hadn't got it in a sale.

Yep agree. 80 dibdobs is reasonable for something comfortable and decent in sound dept.

My Sennheiser Momentum headphones cost me about £230 a couple of years ago. -_-

I'm slightly miffed that I just paid £240 for these things two weeks ago, as they're £100 off on Black Friday deals right now.

Man, I'm a fan of expensive peripherals when it's worth spending the extra, but £250 for a wired set of earbuds with a really inconvenient looking amplifier thing? Are they as amazing as the price tag would make you hope?

I bought a set of Samsung Gear Icon X wireless earbuds earlier this year, and I absolutely would not recommend them. I knew the sound quality was going to be merely average, I was paying for the convenience and fact that they don't look ridiculously huge sticking out of your ears. I went with wireless ones because I hate the tugging and the noise the cable creates rubbing on your clothes, plus I have a phone without a headphone jack. However they're just horribly unreliable, entirely because of the shitty light sensor that tells the bud if it's in your ear or not. I don't know whether mine are faulty or whether my ears are just too thin, but they make a disconnect sound every time I walk from strong sunlight to shadow. With no delay. If I walk past trees with sun shining through the leaves, the disconnect sound interrupts itself continuously. The sound passthrough feature stops working if this happens even once, and won't work at all unless both buds think they're in your ear.
