PC Game Controllers

Guys,
I'm looking for some game controllers for the PC, so my kids can play our Sega Mega Drive Classics with these instead of keyboards.
What do you recommend?

Years back I bought an Xbox 360 controller to play a football game on PC, and over the past week my eldest has started using it to play co-op with me on Lego games, it's been working very well.

It's just a Bluetooth accessory, so I don't see why it wouldn't support more than one.
