Yeah, my plan is to boot the door open, shoot at the bear, then keep running.

Okay, I think this is how I'm gonna play this:

1. Everyone who plans to just run like hell to the East of the house: make a Slick test.

2. Anyone who runs and fails that Slick test must take two Luck tests (to avoid being shot).

3. Cavader Kid, make a Slick test to kick open the door and shoot the bear (even if it's with one gun); failure means you also need to make a single Luck test (to not get shot).

What's the DC on the slick test? I rolled a 14

Yes, d20 for any Slick, Grit, Wits or Luck checks.

Normal pass requirement for most tests (after personal modifiers) is 12+

Doc, Scrancher and Cumflutter successfully leg it along the house's northern wall and around the corner of the conservatory, rifle shots striking against the walls and windows as they pass.

The bear, as you can imagine, is furious about this, and comes barrelling out of the kitchen via the back door!

Cadaver Kid, you best get moving! Make another Slick check to scarper!


Meanwhile, on the east side of the house, the rest of the gang stands next to the conservatory. You're out of view of the soldiers now as the collapsed stables, to the north, are blocking their line of sight to you.

The conservatory windows are smashed in, and you could possibly slip into the house this way.

Also, you dash out of sight with incredible speed to join the other three at the conservatory.

You hear the roaring of the bear and the thunder of gunfire.

What now, gang?

We should probably at least peer through the conservatory windows before committing to diving in

Looking through the shattered windows, you see the mayor's plants, amidst broken glass that's all over the floor. A door on the western wall of the conservatory leads, as you already know from your previous burglary adventure, into his dining room.

I'll clamber into the conservatory and have a listen at the door.
