And a pair off humongous tatters flailing in the wind like wobbly plums.

Rufus has plenty of ballast to drop. Speaking of which, are you going to drop some ballast, Cumflutter?
My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

I meant a sandbag, of course! ¬_¬

Navigation: NAT 20
It strikes me that I have no idea how navigation works in a balloon. But I'm doing it as well as it can be done, apparently.

I honestly know nothing about ballooning but I assume CK does as he seems to be rather good at it!
Okay, I still need actions from Cumflutter and Scrancher...

With gritted teeth, Cadaver Kid maintains control of the aircraft while Cumflutter and Scrancher hold on tight. Doc bites through another rope and lets another sandbag drop down to the earth.
There's a (very) brief lull in the storm; each of the crew can make a single action as before.

Re: Scene VI: A Hot Air Balloon
If there’s no sign of this storm letting up, would it make sense to try and land the balloon during the lull?

The "lull" was just my way of saying it's your turn first this round. Trying to land isn't an option until the storm blows over...which it will (soon, I expect)

In that case, I navigate:
10 + 2 = 12
10 + 2 = 12

Dog-doc will chew through the rope of our penultimate sandbag.

Cumflutter will try and grab a bit of floating debris. 3 D6's is it?

Re: Scene VI: A Hot Air Balloon
Dog-Doc drops the third ballast and the balloon regains some height.
Cumflutter reaches out and catches a line of rope that comes flying past. Thirty feet of it!
With sheer determination and skill, Cadaver Kid pilots the balloon out of the storm and into clear skies and calm air!
Congratulations, you have survived the storm!
It is then that you realise the balloon is running out of fuel...the damaged canopy slowly drifts down to the desert floor and the basket lands with an uncomfortable thump on the dusty earth. But everyone is alive.
Cumflutter and Scrancher, can you roll me LUCK tests, please?
