I keep my hands rested atop my gun handles, lest the Mayor decide to try any antics.

Incidentally, how far down is it to ground level? Is there a balcony or veranda or anything outside the windows? I'm thinking it might be worth a quick exit rather than risk tusslin' with the Redrum boys on the way outside.

There is indeed a balcony! This is outside the door on the southern wall of the mayor's dressing room, where Doc currently is.

Looks like a reasonable escape route. If it's too high to climb down, I guess we could fashion a rope from the Mayor's longjohns.

I think it could be climbed down with a successful SLICK test.

Doc is struck by a POISON NEEDLE TRAP (I should have made you roll 2d20, Doc, but you passed anyway) hidden in the strong-box lid.

Thankfully, he's not affected by the toxin.

The box contains, as the Mayor said, sixty silver coins and a silver crucifix, itself worth sixty silver. There's also a pair of handcuffs and a pair of rubber gloves.

Am I right in saying the CK is down a pair of handcuffs? If so, I'll hand him those and try not to think too hard about where they've been...

I'll pocket the crucifix as I have a spare slot and offer the silver to the rest of the group to divvy up as they wish.

Seeing Doc recoil from the needle, I draw my Slackarms. "I warned you, you sonofabitch."

I blow the Mayor's foot off.

He's still got 'em. But I'm sure he'd be happy to have a second pair.

I would indeed. If I've no room left for them, I'll handcuff one end of them to my wrist.
