Doc calls upon everything he learned during that one afternoon he bluffed his way into a medical school. "Well, ah, you see, uh, to put it layman's terms... the movement of air passing up through the windpipe as the cranium descends would exit via the lips. Probably."
Just a long single ominous note as the head free falls down the chimney.

So, spell out the latest plan, please. Something about throwing a head down a chimney?

Bear in mind three things:

1. There are two chimneys in the main building. Which one?

2. To get onto the roof, a successful Slick check will be required by the climber. This will be made easier by use of a rope lasso, successfully slung over a chimney (itself requiring a successful Slick check).

3. I still recommend Doc Scot giving some laudanum to Cadaver Kid. He's still in bad shape after that croc incident.

I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;

And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

Ok, I think now I've lost my negative Slick modifier I think we're all fairly even on that score, so Doc will volunteer for roof duty.

Step 1 - offer CK a tot of laudanum
2 - rope lasso to get on roof - 15 for the first roll, 18 for the second
3 - I don't know on which of the 23 pages the map of the main building is lol, but Doc would use whichever was the most central of the available chimneys
4 - light hair of head on fire and drop it down chimney, harmonica in mouth. He'll scream a blood-curdling scream down the chimney pot after as well for added effect
5 - give Roach the pre-agreed signal to boot open the door and start blasting

I'm assuming everyone else will want to position themselves appropriately before the plan kicks off though.

Roach will assume a position next to the front door with his shotgun prepped, awaiting the signal to put the boot in.

Here's the map: note the two chimneys.

Doc has successfully slung Cumflutter's lasso onto one of them and used it to climb up to said chimney.

Tell me which one...

Cadaver Kid, will you take a dose of the good doctor's laudanum? If so, roll a d4 to gain more HP.

I'll use the chimney in the middle of the back (western) wall, hoping to best draw people's attention away from the front door directly opposite.

Very good. We'll assume you crept around the back of the building to pull off this feat.

So, Doc's on the roof, by the chimney, holding a Loudmouth head with a harmonica in its mouth, and he's about to set its hair on fire with a lighter and throw it down the chimney.

Roach is outside the front door with his shotgun, ready to kick the door down.

Where's the other two gentlemen gonna be?

I will, much obliged Doc.

That's a 2.

I'll join Roach by the door, so we can cover both ends of the room as we enter.

I'll follow in the door last and cover the other 2

Sounds like everyone is in place, so I'll light up the head, wait until it's blazing good and proper, then drop it down the chimney accompanied by the loudest scream Doc can muster.

Roach will know this scream is his signal

"Time for some doorkillin'!"

Roach boots the front door in just the right place to maximise the impact.

All right, bear with me folks, got a busy schedule today so I will narrate the next part of the drama this evening, most likely, but in the meantime let it be known that Cadaver Kid is drunk again, thanks to the laudanum (so your GRIT's down to -1 and your Luck's up to +2).

In the meantime Cumflutter will take this opportunity to comb and pomade his moustache. We may be in a corpse littered hell hole but that's no excuse for a gentleman not to look presentable.

Roach slams his foot into one of the double doors, which swings wide open (it ain't locked), revealing a grand hallway.

Image

It is pretty dark inside, save for the light now shining through the open doorway, and largely empty, except for dirt and debris (empty bottles, cigarette butts, animal droppings and other general waste) and of course its dilapidated furnishings.

In the centre of the room is a dining table—or what is left of one—and chairs. The table is smashed and broken into three splintered chunks and the chairs around it are in a similar state of disarray.

At the far end of the room is a stone fireplace, with a severed Loudmouth's head sitting in it, its hair aflame and a harmonica stuffed in its mouth. Question is, if nobody was there to hear it...did it make a sound? Several fire-pokers lie scattered before the fireplace.

Eleven horses' heads have been mounted on the walls of this room. Five on each side and one above the fireplace. Between these are portraits of fancy rich folks—presumably the Miser family—though these have been vandalised by aspiring artists who've added additional features.

There are four exits that you can see. One set of double-doors on the north side of the hall (in the centre of the wall) one set of double-doors on the south-side of the hall, opposite these, and two single doors spaced evenly on either side of these.
