Ah, I just realised I made an error with your previous Death check.

Instead of the bullets just tearing your clothes as I previously said, you were actually wounded, and one of your stats will be affected.

Roll me a d4 and a d6 to see which one and how.

ALSO, since you've been shot again, once again you have three options:

1. Use an Ace to re-roll your Luck (and pray for a better result)
2. Lose your hat and take no damage
3. Make another Death check!

My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

3 on the d4 and a 6 on the d6.

I'll use an ace this time to reroll this one!

And I got a 17.

Good results all round!

The first time you got shot, your HP did go to 0 (where it remains) but your Wits went up by +1!

This takes your Wits to +3, making you the smartest member of the posse. ¬_¬

And this second time, you've not been shot, so no further damage mitigation required.

You may try to kick the door again now, or blast it with the shotgun, if you so desire!

Is my HP reduction factoring in the extra thick damage prevention coat I'm wearing?

Roach doesn't like getting repeatedly shot so he's just going to blast the door with his shotgun this time.

Yes it is.

All right, time to make a SLICK check: d20-1!

Not as high a chance of success as kicking (owing to your particular skill in that art) BUT, if you succeed, the door will open right away. Kicking alone will require more attempts to break through.

BLAM!

You fire the shotgun into the door and blast it (and the boards that are keeping it shut on the other side) into smithereens!

"YOU BASTARDS WON'T GET ME! NOBODY GETS TANTRUM TAMMY!" screams a voice from within the room beyond.

Through the clouds of gun-smoke and splinters, two muzzle flashes are followed by the cracks of Tammy's twin pistols.

Test LUCK again, Roach! (d20)

While Roach is dodging bullets, I'll call out:

"Tammy! We ain't the law, we just want what's in that safe. Get us into it and we can go our separate ways, all civilised and such. We already saved yer skin from those clowns - they're all roasted up now, so the ways I see it, you owe us one. But I guess if you don'ts see things the same, we can blow you and this whole building to hell and back. Your choice!"

Violence it is!

When I'm able, I'd like to lean round the doorway and attempt to shoot her non-lethally (e.g. aiming at limbs), which I assume would be a harder check to pass.

Lol that is exactly what I was going to say for Doc as well, so I guess on some unspoken shared idea they both do it simultaneously from opposite sides of the door

All right, Doc and Cadaver Kid, each of you make a SLICK test.

That's d20+4 for Doc (thanks to his marvellous moonshine-medicine) and d20+1 for Cadaver Kid.

Only an 11 on the die, but thanks to my miracle elixir that's 15.

Assuming we can say what we were aiming for, I was going for a leg...
