Scene VII: The Scorned Path (Scum on the Trail)

Doc is happy just to add the meals from his croc into the collective stores, and will take one portion for himself for the first day (he'll give Jinx a bit from that as well).

I'll share the roots and berries with the group. Meat and 2 veg for everyone!

There's only four meals worth of berries/roots, so that's one veg course for everyone (if everyone wants to eat them).

Who's eating croc and who's eating veg? Who's eating both?

Eh, we've just fought two crocodiles, why not have a little blow-out on the first night?

Doc will have croc n' berries.

Doc is feeling shamed for gluttony, so will return the berries to the stores and make do with just croc

The gang re-convene at their campsite by the side of the Scorned Path, Doc and Scrancher dragging their game behind them.

The tent, made from the remains of their hot-air balloon, is set up, and the campfire blazes away in the darkness.

Together, they butcher the crocodiles and carve them up into rations. They cook them and sit down to eat.

Cumflutter forgoes the reptile-flesh and instead munches on the berries he and Rufus found. They are...surprisingly nutritious.

After this, the gang beds down for the night and sleeps.

In the morning, they disassemble the tent, pack up their gear, load up their saddle-bags on their bicycles, and continue their journey along the road.



Day 2

The Bean Bunch now has sufficient food to last them another four days, but now their canteens are empty. They will need to search for water.

Everyone make a WITS test to search for a spring/well...
