Autocorrect.

Today I had to plank a box for a woman at work to collect. What I wanted to say was that it was hidden in the “wee inshot” before the petrol station.

The message I sent her read:
“Wee I shit on the left before you’d turn right into services“

I’ve been laughing about it all morning whatever that says about me

We did that to a guy in work once. When he left his PC unlocked we set it to autocorrect "The" with "Balls" on his emails. Once his boiling rage calmed we all had a good laugh about it.

What?!

I’m not surprised autocorrect didn’t understand…

And that's the story of why I'm not allowed near pregnant women for the next few weeks.

After looking up a Scottish slang dictionary "Plank" means to hide something. "inshot" I've no idea...

A short cut off that immediately leads to a dead end be it a gate into a farm or whatever. Not a layby, not a road, just a wee inshot. Ye ken?

Pretty nice breakdown of what went on, including interviews with some of the actors and customers:

I'd been talking to my parents about a new shower they've had installed and I was trying to find the model they'd got. I'd heard them say it was a "grower" (which turned out to be Hansgrohe).

Googling "grower shower" did not produce expected results.

I’ve just discovered the joy of multiple windows installs! I’ve always had bother with my setup of 3 screens + the living room telly for controller based games. Best setup I had was mirroring the 1440 screen onto the 4k telly but hdr never worked right and when the missus turned the telly in it would refresh my monitors which was incredibly annoying.

I’ve now installed a new install of windows, set it to go straight into big picture and only output to the tv. My main windows install has the tv disabled so no interruption when the missus turns the telly on. I’ve disabled the boot menu so there’s no difference when starting my pc up but when I want to play on the couch I run a batch file that reboots me into console mode, screens hdr works and audio pre configured! It’s magic and makes me want to play more!

Next I plan to do another install that’s set up for my music stuff because not having a stand alone music pc anymore always put me off having a muck about but this way it’s almost like having a stand alone pc, with inputs/ outputs already configured with no interference from headsets and such.

Magic!
