This is the exact scenario for me when they call me in, immediately take my blood pressure, then rush out of the room to have a hushed, urgent chat with a colleagueWrathbone wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 8:52 amOh god, tell me about it. My last trip to the surgery, I had to speed-walk in because the bus never turned up, so I was boiling hot and out of breath when I got there, and inevitably the waiting room was roasting hot. Nothing makes a phsyical examination more unpleasant than being a sweaty mess while trying to keep a panic attack at bay.
I've lost count of the number of times I've been asked to take home readings for a week and/or wear a device that intermittently takes BP readings over 24 hours... always a delight having that pop off several times in the middle of the night!
... only to later be told that it's fine, actually.
