Oh this one smarts too, RIP to Paul Di'Anno, original singer for Iron Maiden on their first two albums. Always loved both, and while he had his struggles in later life will remember him for those.

He opened the gas board shop in my town when I was a lad in the early 80s. Guy was like a block of flats to me. He lifted a cooker over his head which caused my tiny brain to explode!

What a supreme human he was, something that bilge fart of a human trump will never be. It was Carter that opened my young eyes to politics, more so than Thatcher, my earliest memories are of what he did with Begin and Sadat, and then how he was royally fucked-over by that bastard Reagan and his cronies. Set such a spark in me seeing him betrayed like that, he was a great man, my first memories of solar panels were from his presidency also. Then you look at the life he led with his wife after being president, his Habitat for Humanity work. What a great, great man, humanity is better off because of his life, and worse off without him. RIP.
