Well I am gonna post in here today, first monthly win over the titanic metronomic behemoth that is Sly Boots (Wrathbone has also had wins since then, but we both know that it is Sly's scalp that is the real prize ) since August 2023!

It was a close one too, with Sly having an uncommon run of poor days and my being fortunate enough to capitalise early in the month, then he hit his stride and began inexorably reeling me back in. We finished the month with 1 point the difference and Sly with half as many wins again, so had we tied I would have been obliterated. But I won

Even though there are just the three of us that play regularly (I still hold out hope that others will join back in) it is a tiny but treasured part of my daily routine

Nicely done! I scuppered my own (already slim) chances by accidentally missing the very first day of the month, but I kept a close eye on the competition.

Hey gents - my PC has died and I realised today that I have missed a bunch of days. Will play when I remember but over my phone which is always awkward. Next month is mine for sure, I was going strongly till PC death!

Motherboard has snuffed it. Unfortunately I need to wait on the warranty to get it replaced (nearly £700 Mobo so don’t want to pay out myself if I can avoid it) so waiting on an engineer booking atm

Ouch. Any idea what the cause was? Could be a concern for other components potentially (speaking from flame-filled experience).
