All entirely different circumstances too. One friendly fire incident, one presumably human error, and now a mechanical failure. I have no idea if the us navy is having training or manpower issues, but these could all potentially be put down to crews not having the time to do things properly and making mistakes. It's that or just bad luck.

It's somewhat unsurprising that they haven't learned from the history of this style of AI chatbot - not learning from history is pretty standard for the US these days. There've been plenty of high-profile experiments into this sort of thing in the past that ended up getting taken down once the public realised they could teach chatbots very unpleasant things. I'm honestly surprised that Grok wasn't programmed to only pull from far-right sources in the first place.
