Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook - Completed
Re: Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook
Oh wait, I think I may have misinterpreted my instructions. ¬_¬
Do we have to actually stand on the stairs? If that's the case, same formation but I'll stand next to Sly.

Re: Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook
Thanks for correcting your own misinterpretation so I didn't have to. ¬_¬ Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.
By the way, the grid system is useful I know, but I found it a pain to create back in 2016, so I was hoping to avoid it for now and go with movement descriptions like "five steps east, two steps north" etc. But, if it proves to be a complete disaster we'll go back to a grid.
Okay, here is the map with the heroes on it:
HERO PHASE
Bellis, as the Leader, may now decide the turn order, but he cannot tell his companions where to move or what to do. Once he's chosen the first player, that player must make his move.
In the Hero Phase, players may move up to TWELVE spaces, left, right, up or down, but not diagonally. If you end next to a doorway or unexplored passage, you must stop your turn there.
Who's going first, Bellis?

Re: Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook
Can I just pick the whole turn order now for expediency?
We'll dazzle any lurking foes by sending our best looking comrade first, that being Sir Gibnar.
Then Terence can take a turn, followed by our wizard, with myself bringing up the rear.

Yes, always.
Where to, Gibnar?

Logging off for the night but if Maturin posts before I come on tomorrow my plan will be to proceed in the same formation we started in.

Yep, Terence will saunter 12 steps east please.
Re: Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook
Actually, now that I see the map again, I'm going to stop one square short of Gibby, in case there's a horrible monster around the corner on the next tile -_-

And where will you go, Bellis?

Now is that to his north side, his west side or his east side? ¬_¬

I think we're essentially standing in two ranks of two, with one tile between Gibby and Terence, and me and Bellis.

That'll be his north side, yes. The image is blocked on my work network so I couldn't actually see in order to give proper directions.

Re: Advanced Hero Quest: Quest I: The Halfling Cook
That's terrible! Is that due to the image uploader I'm using, the title of the image, or is it just all images?
Anyway, for those of you who aren't blind*:
EXPLORATION PHASE
Standing at the junction, you see this:
Spoiler
*Should we roleplay that Bellis is actually a blind Dwarf? ¬_¬
