She is still on shaky ground as it was a work event, I have fired people before for behaviour outside the office (in fairness on one occasion I caught two of my sales team blatantly snorting coke in the loo of a very posh golf resort, and the other again a salesperson got within a rizla paper of punching my boss, so neither a huge surprise).

If nothing else, someone needs to take her aside and remind her of acceptable behaviour towards her colleagues.

Yep. Apparently someone reported her behaviour to our product manager (who used to be her line manager too) and he's furious. Not sure if anything formal is going down but he's no doubt had a word with her.

I did wonder if she'd done a line of coke or two before leaving the office, as she was pretty heightened and had obviously lost any semblance of a filter.

I think it is very widely used by lots of people these days. She sounds like a nightmare, anyone that behaves like an asshole then tries to play the race card is a special kind of shitebag.

It is absolutely everywhere now. It's entered the social media meme zeitgeist where people just brazenly joke about how much of it they do. I've seen so much use on nights out, particularly the further south I am.

Insanely so mate, and way more widespread than the wealthy office-jockey drug that it used to be. I read an article some years back that said that 99% of UK banknotes had cocaine and/or blood residue on them, and use to often notice old bloodstains on the edges of banknotes before they were replaced by the plastic ones.

Someone was fired from my company recently for taking it at a gathering in the head office in the centre of the London financial district, losing their filter and offering it to people they didn't know. Needless to say one of those people called them out on it and they were escorted from the building there and then. Bye bye career...

It is so widespread people have almost accepted it as normal in some circles, Sales in particular. If you know the signs you can spot folks on it a mile away - pinprick pupils and a total inability to stop talking are the obvious ones, that's if they aren't constantly sniffing or even have the fucking stuff around their nostrils. I see it so often on nights out it barely occasions comment any more. Also the obvious signs in virtually every pub toilet, lines of suspicious residue on the cisterns etc. Lots of places these days give flat surfaces in their loos a spray of WD40 before opening each evening, as that dissolves it on contact.

Haha your assumption is correct. The offer was downgraded to a bottle of beer when I declined the powder, followed by "I'm no a dealer, by the way, I just dabble from time to time". Aye, no worries...

I also declined the beer.

He was showing me his boxer-beagle cross (only reason he had my attention as I have a boxer and he was asking me about him) on his shite phone that took forever to load. Cue his pet-family history: wee Dillinger, Bonnie and Clyde...
