Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter II: The Greed Lineage
Precious informs Giant Dances the Sea that the chest is neither trapped, nor locked.
My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

Giant knows that Precious only ever speaks the truth, so he will open the chest.

I’ll try and open a barrel to see what’s inside.

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter II: The Greed Lineage
Lord Margar finds...
A CHOKER WITH A PENTAGRAM AMULET ON IT!
Not another one! Or is it the same one Malaiz found beneath St. Olundan's chapel? These seem to be all the rage in Wästland right now!
Meanwhile, inside the huge chest, Giant Dances the Sea discovers the entire party's gear, stripped from them just over a month ago by Baron Risten's guards.
Most of it, anyway.
There's no sign of Aunt Marathuk's Staff of Awful Light, no sign of Lord Margar's Blade of the Ancestors, no sign of Fechr's 'Death's Horseshoe' and no sign of Malaiz' two physical scrolls. There's also no sign of the one hundred silver coins Fechr found. There's also no food or other such consumables.
But this is what is stuffed into the chest:
- A sword (d6)
- Two bows (d6) [with quivers of 20 arrows each]
- Two sacks [for 10 normal-sized items]
- A bear trap (DR14 to spot, d8 damage)
- Two blankets
- A tent
- A firesteel (for lighting torches)
- A shield (once had a cockerel painted on it, but paint ruined by acid) [-1 damage]
- A chainmail hauberk (-d4 damage, DR+2 Agility)
- A suit of scale armor (-d4 damage, DR+2 Agility)
- Ten unused torches
- A battle axe (d8 damage)
- A thick fur coat (-d2 damage)
- A set of lockpicks
- A sackcloth bag of twenty-six sharp pebbles
- A sling (d4 damage)
- A handaxe (d6 damage)
- A suit of padded cloth armour (-d2 damage)
- A backpack, suitable to store 7 normal-sized items

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter II: The Greed Lineage
I can't really remember what Giant had (not a lot
) so I'll just grab the same items that were previously on his character sheet

Re: MÖRK BORG: Chapter II: The Greed Lineage
This is a chance to reassess the party's gear, but, if GDTS takes only what was his, he now has:
- Scrap of folded paper found on rotting corpse in cell [in pocket]
- Preserved dove’s head (Precious) [on finger]
- Makeshift torch, made from a skeleton's arm [in hand]
- Dagger (d4 damage) [in belt]
- Thick fur coat (-d2 damage) [on body]
- Sack for 10 normal-sized items [on back]
- 5 torches [in sack]
My fire is more than can be made with forests,
My state more base than are the basest valleys;
I wish no evenings more to see, each evening;
Shamed, I hate myself in sight of mountains,
And stop mine ears, lest I grow mad with music.

I’ll also claim back what was previously mine.

You never knew, as you can't read it, for it's written in Wästish, instead of some dead language ¬_¬
