You make a good point, though I'd argue Putin has been far worse between the two of them.

His war in Ukraine has also had massive impacts on global trade and the economy, while the cost of human lives on both sides of the war on a daily basis cannot reasonably be compared to Trump's economic and political tomfoolery, no matter how much it's shaken the fragile foundations of the modern world. I suspect the impact of Trump's 'bull-in-a-china-shop' approach to global politics will be felt over a longer term, overall, but I maintain, as bad as he's been thus far, he's still the lesser of the two weevils.

I'm afraid that in the case of "lies, damned lies, and statistics", the guy in charge of statistics was bringing him statistics.

According to Trump, the "numbers are wrong" in the most recent job statistics.

Either he doesn't believe the numbers because the man is pathologically incapable of thinking he's wrong, or he's just denying the truth to the public because the statistics don't fit the narrative of "most successful President in history".

Trump's lawyer rushed over to meet her once the Epstein stuff kicked off again, presumably to broker a deal. I can't believe that all she got out of it was being moved to minimum security, and if she'd been offered a pardon then it's not like Trump would bother waiting for the right time to do it - he'd just do it now out of fear of her talking. So I dunno... maybe they couldn't make a deal and this makes her a much easier target.

Maybe I'm totally wrong, but my gut feeling is she's toast.
