I met him at a talk he gave in my hometown when I was 15. Given how ropey he seemed then, I’m amazed he made it this long! He came across to me as well-meaning but very bitter about Star Wars and how he’d been badly done to (I’m not sure how true that was, but he had some financial grievance). I do remember the song he sung to the Star Wars theme, which apparently he and the other main cast came up with after the initial unexpected success:

Star Wars
Made me a fortune
Paid off my mortgage
Bought me a car!

Met him once at a signing in Newport indoor market, came across as a genuinely nice fella. I'm 6'4" and next to him I felt like Warwick Davis.
