Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I honestly wasn't expecting that to happen; I thought that previous agreement would give him a get out of jail free card.

if she wins - does that mean, by our taxes, we will pay for Andrew's shag?

When the Royal Family start distancing themselves from any fallout it speaks volumes about their confidence in his innocence...

I've no doubt that his behavior was well known by his family and anyone who dealt with him. Bet he's sweating now the Edwin.

Saville knew....and they knew about Saville. There is massive osteo-cupboardage in the upper realms, all covering for each other...
Looks like Maxwell isn't going to obstruct release of sealed documents regarding the Jane Does in upcoming cases either....

I remember him alluding to just how high the secrets went...and almost bragging about how he was untouchable because of what he knew. The suspicion was he was on about Charles, less so about Andrew, but it seems clear now, I could however be completely wrong re timelines.

The timing of this says it all. The queen could have chucked Andrew under a bus at any point since the allegations came out, but it's only now that his last hope of avoiding a trial appears to have slipped away that she's acted. It's not as if any new information has come to light. Seems clear that she was banking on it all being swept under the rug, like these things usually are with those at the top.

Yeah, those are my thoughts too. I've seen sympathy for the Queen in light of what happened yesterday (they've taken the elderly lady who recently lost her husband angle), but let's not forget that she's probably known for years and this is likely a damage limitation measure because she knows full well that he's guilty and this will soon be public.

I would apologise for bringing the tone down but Andrew has already done that so:

Logan Paul has lost $3.5million buying fake Pokemon cards.
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2022 ... emon-cards
So there's a lot to unpack here. Logan Paul, the man who made a video showing the body of a suicide victim, is still somehow popular. Logan Paul, Youtube's most appropriately punchable face, spent the price of a mansion on little bits of card that children used to collect. Logan Paul, the fish suffocator, thinks that bragging about spending a sum of money that his fans will never earn in their entire lives makes him likeable. Logan Paul, who has lost three and a half times as much money buying fake Pokemon cards as he donated to a suicide prevention charity following the suicide victim debacle, thinks publicly admitting how massive a chump he is going to be good for his brand.
Just... fucking hell.
