I love the style of that one.

Bit of a simple one from me today, partially because I wanted something of a break today.

Considered just not doing one today because of fatigue, and it's such a vague prompt that my creativity deserted me, but here we are.

Day 13: Kind

Nice. I would still be tempted to grab the Flake bar.

Day 14: Empty

Today has been frustrating. This was the fourth attempt at today's prompt because I just could not come up with a concept I liked, and because the concept wasn't strong, I had zero enthusiasm for it and it ended up terrible. I've actually had to create a new folder for failed ideas in my Inktober directory.

This was done from photo reference because clothing just isn't something I've practiced much yet, and even then I'm not especially happy with it. The model has her hands in her pockets, which is why they look a little odd.

You could have drawn Liz Truss' head!

That genuinely was one of the ideas I came up with this morning, but not one of the ones I started. I'd rather try to draw something that's fun and doesn't make me miserable.

Thanks. It's gone down fairly well everywhere I've posted it. I don't take huge quantities of validation from Reddit upvotes, but it's currently in the top 10 on the Inktober subreddit out of hundreds of entries.

Day 16: Fowl

It turns out I basically have no idea how to do specular shading.

Day 17: Salty

Ehh, not my best. I didn't really have the energy to put into the background today, so it's a pretty weak composition.

Day 18: Scrape

Image

A world under siege!

A valiant Republic counterattack lead by Jedi generals Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, vows to break a punishing Separatist blockade!

So there've been a few days doing this project where I've come up with an idea and then asked myself "can I actually draw that?", and more and more the answer is becoming "of course you can't you idiot, you've never tried that before, but you should try it anyway and see what happens."

"Scrape" could have been something so simple, but I couldn't get the idea of two spaceships colliding out of my head. My thought process was then "well why would two spaceships collide? Well, if they were piloted by someone quite reckless. Which space pilots do I know that are reckless? Anakin Skywalker? Anakin's Delta-7 Aethersprite fighter is geometrically simple. Perfect.

So now I've gone and drawn a bloody Clone Wars episode.
