Okay, so let's just say we roll with the last option.

Mantis asked me to create a white banner 960 x 140 with the logo 240-280 x 120 in the centre of it.

That would appear exactly like this (well, except for the fact that it's been auto-resized to 640 pixels wide ¬_¬):

Thanks a lot for doing this, Doug, it's a pretty big task off my list now and I'm not sure I'd have been able to produce anything that looks as good as that anyway.

The new banner is now live on all of our installed themes, just do a ctrl+f5 refresh if you don't see it.

By the way, that designer I told you I got in touch with? He is very talented (he illustrates old school RPGs and creates black metal band logos), and he actually did get back me in the end (he's a busy man, apparently), but he said he would charge £120 for the work, which is fair enough -- the dude has to make a living -- but I think we got a better deal here. ¬_¬
