Amid various financial transactions and other notes concerned with the management of estates, there's a record of prisoners kept in the Baron's dungeon.

The most recent entry is dated from a month ago: four vagabonds, not from either of the two villages under Risten authority, imprisoned for trespassing on Risten lands and cutting down trees for firewood. One of them didn't look human. They were in possession of Tünstal family heirlooms (probably looters).

The entry before that mentions an emissary from King Fathmu's court. He had compelled the Baron, under threat of violence, to sell his estate to the King for a sizable sum, signing and sealing a binding legal document which would turn the castle over to the Crown. Baron Risten went through the motions of accepting the agreement, and accepted the reward, though had his guards imprison the emissary on the way out, and threw him in the dungeon. The estate must always stay in Risten hands, so it was written in blood, long ago. Though, the Baron adds a note here saying he fears what will happen, considering what happened to his only son and heir...

Sly the player is keeping up to date with developments, but it seems a bit above Giant the character's pay grade, so he's just hooting happily to himself in the throne room looking at all the pretty colours on the wall.

He wouldn't object to a little bit of healing, though...

Giant is unresisting and, probably fortunately, blissfully detached from his current surroundings...

The creatures wide eyes go even wider as Malaiz's now deft finger delivers the miracle of modern medicine. He is relieved to see no one disappears into another realm this time.

I have just popped through a door out of sight, possibly while Malaiz’s attention was firmly on delivering his medicinal payload…
