Re: Trump
12,390 vote lead in Pennsylvania for Biden now, apparently final count won't be for another day or so though. God knows why they take so long.
CNN keep referring to Trump's kids as his 'spawn'.
American news is comically partisan.

I finally found a source:Mantis wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 3:04 pmI believe they are included in the current totals, it's just that they're being kept physically separate in case they turn out to be discounted. Though it is within their laws that votes can be counted providing they were postmarked prior to the polls closing, regardless of whether they arrive a few days late. Trump doesn't really have a leg to stand on if they really try to pursue it.
Likewise with the counting observers. His entire platform is heavily peddling the complete lie that Republican observers aren't being allowed in to watch the count, alluding to Democrats cheating behind closed doors. It's utter nonsense, there are Republican representatives observing every count that's going on.
Not a gracious loser.
Re: Trump
Biden's lead is only growing.
At this point I think the media channels over there aren't calling it because by painfully dragging things out they can maximise their ad revenues. It's getting pretty tedious now, though admittedly I've had CNN on in the background for the last three days.

Re: Trump
I suspect most senior Republicans will be doing the same behind the scenes. Probably the RNC too. I know people say it's building a narrative for the 2024 election but I think it's hampering their long term prospects. A slow implosion will also harm their chance of holding the senate.

Re: Trump
An interesting observation I saw about Trump is if he had actually any experience in politics he'd know that you lose a lot a learn to deal with it. Being brought up as an arrogant little shit who managed to bullshit his way to a top, the fall is so much harder and he can't mentally process it like a rational person.
Re: Trump
I had a conversation like this with my family. Trump was bought into a rich family and made to believe he was special without any real consequence. In the same way that Boris must've got dropped off at Eton and thought "I'm at Eton, shit that must make me qualified".Animalmother wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 12:54 pmAn interesting observation I saw about Trump is if he had actually any experience in politics he'd know that you lose a lot a learn to deal with it. I don't want to paint all private school students in the same way, but as someone who went to a 'Oxbridge backup' uni, you get so used to a certain subset of people having confidence purely because of their educational background.Rossell wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2020 1:22 pmI had a conversation like this with my family. I think between that and networking, it's probably the most important aspect of going to some private schools.
Apologies to anybody who was privately educated.

Re: Trump
I doubt there's a country in the world that doesn't have this problem. "Elite" shitheads told that they'll be great politicians/generals/CEO's but in reality are utterly useless.
