I assume no action is being taken against Trump yet so that he can't use executive privilege. Once he's out the door, hopefully he'll be bombarded with charges and subpoenas from every angle.

I'm in two minds about legal action against Trump. On the one hand there's little that would give me more satisfaction than him being imprisoned. However I'm not convinced that anything will be done even after the oaf leaves office. America needs to heal, and throwing the previous president, who still has a lot of support, in jail is only going to make things worse.

As long as he's alive and not in prison, I don't think America can heal. He'll run again in 2024 unless he's prevented from doing so.

I do not think Trump has much way of a future given he is $400M in debt and his creditors will now want their money back plus he faces a dozen State charges of criminality as well as numerous law suites from women

I think the mainstream Republician party have got a real problem in that the GOP is now the bombastic party that relies on being extreme

I was going to use a cockroach analogy but cockroaches are kind of amazing and fascinating.

It's his scumbag kids that people should be worried about I think. One of them is bound to try and run for president eventually. Both his older slime ball sons will try and probably fail because they look like cartoon villains but Ivanka might have a chance, apparently she's just as big a sack a shit as the rest of them.

I remember it being said after Trump was elected that Ivanka was going to be the calming influence in the White House, in fact I think Last Week Tonight did a piece on that theory. Obviously this didn't happen unless Donald actually wanted to just shoot anyone he disagreed with.
I reckon Ivanka would have a shot at the presidency, purely because she presents well. She's managed to trick a large number of Americans into thinking she's far more moderate than she really is.

I'm amazed trump didn't pardon himself at the same time as the turkeys.

Sounds like even that didn't go well:
The final humiliation of Donald Trump came with an accompaniment of Thanksgiving decorations and a side of turkey. For only the fourth time since the election, the president appeared in public today — albeit 20 minutes late — to formally pardon a fattened white bird from Iowa named Corn. And he looked utterly dejected as he did it.

“Thanksgiving is a very special day for turkeys,” he started out, somewhat confidently, before adding, “Probably not a very good one, actually.”
No shit, Don.

The silly bugger has already hurt himself. Trump sent him a get well soon tweet which is admittedly very funny.

Been a while since this had an update. The Supreme Court put the nail in the coffin of the court challenges last night by rejecting the Texas lawsuit (which was batshit crazy as usual). Electoral college vote on Monday, if that passes with no hindrance, the job is done. Phew.

Watching his supporters have a collective meltdown is remarkable. Most people are using this Parler thing which sounds like an FBI tracking app.
