It's occurred to me that I can probably quite easily fit all the contents of my world building for the campaign setting onto one of those World Anvil pages that Pete has been using without needing to pay for any of the subscription tiers. Currently all of my lore and notes are spread between about ten Word documents and a huge Excel spreadsheet, so I think I'll be putting it all up there in an easier to navigate format shortly. I can share the link in here for those who are interested in seeing some of the background and a bit more info on all the places you haven't visited in the campaign.

On that note, my calendar is settled and Thursday will be all good for me this week.

I can do Thursday, but will probably have to sit with the laptop in bed as the desk will be replaced with a spare bed and house quite crowded...

All still good for tonight?

Edit: Well that was remarkable timing.

7pm is still a go.

Arctiss will remember that.

The fun thing about this session's latter third is that it's not even the first time I've deliberately punched Murrik in the face.

Not sure what you could have really done about that if he'd just gone straight for a rowboat and been out of the city before you arrived at the dock. Genuinely wasn't expecting that course of events to happen.

I’m just glad that picking Dominate Person as a spell wasn’t entirely futile.

There's been a few spell uses this session that literally haven't been used for the entire campaign so far. And to think all it took to bring them out was a party member trying to abscond with the treasure.

It's sessions like tonight that remind me why I love DnD (and our group) so much. Stuff totally unexpected happening because of people playing into their characters, general chaos, and much fun :D

I've been holding back on using Speak with Animals at least partly as an homage to when Egbert uses it in Oxventure, because Egbert's occasional reveal of a spell to the surprise of everyone else (in this case it was the casual theft of yet another of Merilwen's signature spells) is one of my favourite recurring bits, but I think my timing was off as I was expecting this to be the last session.

I'd originally taken the spell thinking it'd be handy when trying to sneak around guards in the casino and getting a stealthy way to scout around, but it never really came up. I'd have used it had I thought it would have been useful.
