Russia verhemtly rejected cliams it bombed Poland. NATO said it was a Ukranian anti-missile missle that went rogue, but unless we heard it from NATO, everyone assumed Russia was lying because that is what they do.

It happens that Gaetz is my district's congressional representative, here in MAGA-land of Northwest Florida. It pains me to even look at his stupid Beavis face. It is absolutely no surprise to see those two huddled up together like a couple of errant potheads at the local high school assembly.

Anyway. Zelenskyy gave a powerful, evocative speech. He didn't want all the applause, he wanted everyone to listen. For those that were listening, they had to confront the fact that children, women, elderly civilians are being slaughtered. This is not a war so much as an attempt at genocide. Russian doesn't have the manpower to occupy a territory, unless the former occupants are all dead.

This is a momentous occasion for our generation, for this moment in history, the Ukrainian president speaking directly to Congress and the people across the world. I hope it lights a fire under some arses. The way Putin is conducting this war is beyond atrocious. It needs to end.

So the war is a year old and no end in sight. Some reports say the Russians are losing several hundred troops a day just trying to capture small towns. Wagner Group and the Russian army leadership are openly hostile to each other and Western tanks are starting to arrive. What a horrible mess.
