D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
Corvus a little higher on 31hp, but his tendency to do up to 4 damage to himself in any fight makes up a bit of the difference there
I was hoping by stacking his Dex and having a decent Con could mitigate his glass cannon-ness, but he's been pretty close to the edge in both the fights we've had so far. I'm hoping his hp pool will be decent enough to keep him alive after another few level-ups... assuming he lives that long!

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
The two fights you've had so far were more perilous than intended due to some freak dice rolls, but thematically I think it kind of makes sense. Presumably Corvus is the only one of the group who's ever seen actual do-or-die combat before, so the rest of you would likely be in complete terror and literally fighting for survival for the first time, maybe discovering heroism at the end of it.
Hopefully there will be some future fights which aren't panic-inducingly strenuous.

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
I messed up that fight, Healing Word is a bonus action so I could have been healing and fighting. Sorry!
Level 3 Farley is going to be a lot of fun, I've chosen College of Spirits and can learn Tales from the Beyond at random with interesting affects when told. I also have Guidance as a cantrip which is going to be really annoying

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
As with a lot of Bard things, it's taken a few re-reads to get my head around that one. Some of the results you can get have obvious potential but some are really situational. I suppose you could memorise a tale immediately after a rest (they last until you use the effect or take another rest) so you at least know which one you'll get rather than rolling in combat and getting something that won't help. What sounds really entertaining about it is that the chosen target doesn't get to choose when to use the effect as far as I can tell, it just happens when you apply it. I can think of some hilarious uses for Tale of the Dragon.

It’s quite an astounding outcome. Ultimately they achieved very little other than devastating their reputation and forcing people and businesses to look into other games.
Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
I can only imagine how dramatic the loss of D&DB subscriptions was for them to entirely backtrack and apologise to try and stem the flow. I still think they need to do more though; if Pathfinder has sold 8 months worth of books in 2 weeks, surely many are going to actually use those books for their next game. I still want to give the system a go having looked into it.
I reckon they'll drop a big D&D One change packet, one that perhaps feels a little underdone, in the near future. It'll have to be one of the more exciting sets of classes, I reckon it'll be Wizards, Warlocks and Sorcerers.

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
I'll still be advocating a change over to Pathfinder 2e for my future games. Having read through a chunk of the core rulebook I think it's just overall a much better system than 5e. Doesn't hurt to support a company with a good track record instead of Hasbro in future too.

Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
Yep, all good for 7pm.
Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
Likewise.
Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
All good.
Re: D&D Campaign 2: D&D Harder
Actually, sorry to do this but I think I’ll have to abort on tonight as I’ve thrown my back out at lunchtime. Struggling to sit at my desk for work.
On the plus side, I should be okay for next week as I’ll be away on Friday rather than Thursday.
