Yeah, my "the baroness has been deceived just like us" speech was mainly to help talk the town guard onto our side, I figured they'd have a hard enough time trusting us without us trying to foment a coup at the same time

I didn't fancy our chances if we'd had to fight the entire town guard and a member of the Fairheart band at once with the way we were rolling at times tonight.

Still makes me titter imagining poor hapless Dharnon trying to ease the orcs wounds only to accidentally just stick his hand in and cause blood to gush everywhere.

So do I get to keep my jackalope horns?

If you want! It's a potluck potion so arguably anything goes.

The only downside I can see is that Raid is going to need to update his Farley pic once again

No, no, it's fine. I need the practice.

Not that the one thing I struggled with the most in the ref sheets were Dharnon's horns...

Damned curving things in perspective mutter mutter mutter

Tongue-in-cheek muttering aside, sure, I can add horns to Farley if you want, I genuinely do need the practice and they'll likely be a bit wonky for a while if you want something as complex as that image. You may have to consider dropping the hat though; with four holes in the thing he may as well be wearing a sieve.

Quick question; wizards get an extra cantrip known at level 4. We add two new spells to our spellbook each time we level. Does the cantrip have to be one of those two spells, or are they in addition to the standard levelled spells? Only reason I ask is because cantrips are handled differently elsewhere too - we can't add them to our books from scrolls for example.

They're extra. The default is two spells every level plus an extra cantrip whenever you hit the milestone for the next one.

I picked up some very juicy spells this time now that I'm less bound by the Bladesinger essentials. Had to go with an ability score bonus though because I couldn't find a useful feat that boosted intelligence.

Yeah, I have five new spells as of this level thanks to the extra cantrip and the feat I took, and my save DC went up thanks to the feat too. All in all a good level-up for Opus.

Bird; take a look at the Fey Touched feat. It's a bit like Magic Initiate in that it gives you a few spells, but not only can you cast them once per day for free, but you can then cast them through normal spell slots too. The list of spells to choose from is a little less massive, but there's some good stuff in there and it gives you a single ability score increase too. It fits Opus' backstory so it's what I've gone for, I figured it might be worth pointing out to a fellow forest-dweller in case it suited Farley too.

Would have liked to have raised my dex even higher for extra AC, but capped at 20 sadly. So although tempted by a feat to beef up my HP, I went with one that means I can raise my AC if I get hit to hopefully be better at avoiding damage.
