HELLO NEW MEMBERS!!!



I never got to say goodbye to PW and PREY, as it was closed before I sat down Friday night. I will say my piece here though.

It doesn't serve us to dissect Davyd's intentions or actions negatively to be honest. I can well understand how he set up PW with big dreams and hopes to create a community that would grow exponentially, alongside a news and reviews site connected with the forum. To see that dream slowly disintegrate over time and still feel loyalty for the happy few that continued to enjoy the haven PW became, despite his personal disillusionment and depression, must have been quite a pressure, when taken with his private life challenges too.

Lets not diss Prey, he has his reasons, we have moved forward and maintain an affection, or at least a respect for his choices. The door is always open, and an empty chair kept. Thankyou for setting up PW Davyd, and I personally wish you great things as you move forward in life, please know you have friends who think of you kindly and who wish you peace. All the best.

I wasn't dissing his choices, I was pointing out the contradiction of lamenting the lack of fond farewells after choosing not to look for them -_-

Not aimed at you or anyone else specifically Sly, just nipping a direction in the bud so to speak. I agree mostly with you, it was a little curt with regard to notice and what to do to move forward, but it is what it is, and we have a nascent rebirth community as a result.

I think he had a much, much deeper connection to that place than any of us realise. He was pretty torn up about the whole thing. Things aren't always straightforward.

I'm adverse to people expecting praise, or tribute, or whatever. I would have to look past that to get on your side, but that's me.

I thought praise was to be expected at Praise World?

Must be a kick in the shins to see the new place all abuzz with activity as well, but I think the threat of losing a forum for this community has got us all a bit more keen to stay active. Helps that some fond old favourites have returned as well.

I agree. I’ve checked PW forums most every day for ages and ages. I’ll try to actually post a bit more, now.
