Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Weirdly, I am getting the download issue on my work PC, but not at home or on my phone.
Between tedium and fright
Such is the song of the nether world
The hissing of rats
And the jarring chants of angels

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Same here - clearing my browser cache worked.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
The issues with people having php errors or being prompted to download PHP text files rather than then executing properly should hopefully be resolved within the next couple of days.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Just a quick note to say I'm still getting that error message above and having to clear my cache every 2-3 days in order to load up the forum, so not sure what's up with that :/

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Yep same here. It was particularly bad last night.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
I had it happen three times in one day a few days back.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
I've enacted the temporary fix that seemed to resolve things last time.
When the hosting contract comes up for renewal in Autumn I'm likely going to try and move the site to a new provider though as these issues are starting to aggravate me.

Well, if you will go with a company that straight-up says they're back to front!
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Just had a few minutes of not being able to load anything, and my browser downloading an empty file instead.
Pointed cURL at the server and noticed the content-type was wrong – it was showing something like the internal "application/x-httpd-php" that should never be seen, instead of "text/html". Dunno if that's helpful for Mantis to know…

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Good to know, cheers.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Still getting this so don't know if you guys have had any luck or I need to clear something?
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Try clearing your cache.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Given I was seeing the problem using cURL on the command line which has no cache, I don't see that would really make a difference? Unless browsers are caching the crap response after it happens and leaving people stuck…
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
I get that fairly often. Solution is switch to iPad :p

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
My experience yesterday was that it was totally broken across multiple devices, perhaps there's multiple issues at play here.
Unless it takes you a handful of minutes to dig an iPad out, in which time the server's sorted its life out. Correlation/causation etc.
