Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
I don't use a console so it's nice to be able to have a sub-folder I can ignore

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
That's precisely why it has never changed. Last time it was suggested quite a few people pointed out that they had zero interest in console games and never went into the sub folder.
I may throw up a poll for it.

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Or try it for a probationary period? It will be obvious if it gets annoying, I'm sure. Maybe do a poll after a its been trialled for a while?

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
The problem with that is that merging the folders is easy but the mods would have to manually move every console thread back to the console folder afterwards if people didn't take to that. And that is a lot of work for a trial period which a minority of people aren't that bothered about.

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
You can count the recent notable console exclusive releases on one hand. You'd hardly notice.
As has been said before 9 out of 10 of them come to PC anyway at some point if not straight away.
2 subforums is needless obfuscation imo, but whatever the will of the people is is alright with me. It was just a thought I had.

Ah, ok, fair point mate.

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Exactly this. If there was a way to mute or hide that folder, I would.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Feature request: ability to "like" a post, rather than a sarcasic-looking "heh" reply being required.
I assume there's a phpBB plugin for such, though I've not looked. If not, I could build it as a weekend project!

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
I'm sure we discussed this back when the forum was opened. I think the conclusion we came to was that it would stop people from posting actual replies and was therefore undesirable.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Agreed. This isn't Facebook.
Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
I post on a busy Liverpool forum as well, and it has its place there as it stops threads becoming chains of one-word agreements. But on a quieter forum like this one I don't think we want to be further discouraging people from actually posting something.

Re: Forum Bugs and Errors Reporting Thread
Agreed, thanks for the offer Drarok, but I've no intention of adding a feature like that to the forum.
