The "mark subforums read" button does not appear to be working?

Marking ALL forums read from the home-page works, but not the above.

Just checked it after Doug's latest post in the blogs sub-forum, and it worked fine for me also.

Not sure if it was ever sorted, but I'm getting spammed with 'new post' emails since the recent reset. 21 emails for the 101 thread today alone. I wondered if a setting has been reversed or something? As ever, much appreciate your effort put into running the forum Mantis. [thumbsup]

I won't be able to properly access the file registry until the weekend so will look into it then for you. I certainly haven't made any changes to the site though so it is odd that it's reverted.

I'm hoping that by October next year I'll be able to move us to an entirely new provider and I'll really have the tools to permanently fix a lot of these issues.

The only notes I have from previous notification issues are the email link not directing you to the correct part of the thread. Is your problem in this instance that you're getting an email every time the topic receives a reply? Because this is standard behaviour for the forum if you've subscribed to a thread.

Yes, on PW you got a subscribed topic reply notification email once, until you returned to the thread, not every time a reply was added. This reset once the thread was returned to. I thought that was turned on here too? Otherwise an inbox can get quite full of the same email quite quickly on a busy thread.

Also, test response. :D

Okay, I think this is due to the way that newer versions of phpbb check for users requiring email notifications. Check this option for me:

Click Notifications in the top right > Settings and check the 'Someone replies to a topic to which you are subscribed' option and tell me whether or not you have ticked both by notifications and by email. If not, make sure both boxes are ticked. That should fix it for next time someone replies to a topic you are following.

Ok mate, thanks. I only had 'emails' ticked, both are selected now. Appreciate the help. [Needathumbsupicon]
