Michael Cohen is testifying against Trump; various things including hush money payments from Trump regarding covering up his affair with a pornstar and also Trump's knowledge about his campaign meeting with Russian agents to obtain information on Clinton prior to the election.
I wonder whether he'll be able to wriggle his way out of this one. Watching bits of it live and it's kind of shocking how partisan the committee is.

The Republican's on the committee are just insane. I don't see why they think backing Trump is such a good idea; they must know that he is toxic to the party in the medium term, so they're basically just increasing the chances of their own ousting at the next election.

none of this matters. I stopped caring. His base will never move. Bill Maher put it beautifully. America abandoned the rural states and as a consequence they don't fucking care. They know he is a cheat and a racist. They are bible bashers and they defend a serial adulterer. They don't give a shit about their hypocrisy.
I don't know if I'd describe patronising as beautiful.

I don't disagree with the main point, but yeah, he comes off as pretty condescending. It's also yet another example of an American explaining a problem as if the rest of the industrialised world hasn't had that exact same problem for a hundred years.

Even in doing Justice they manage to fuck it up. Shitshow.
What a bar he's set as president by personally not colluding with a foreign power to influence the result of an election. The tagline for his next campaign should be Trump: Never murdered a child (as far as we know).

At least we know he'll be gracious and subdued about it, won't make a complete tool of himself and move on gracefully. Yes...
