Since we didn't get the game tonight, this seems as good a time as any for this to happen.

At dawn after your rest in the woods (before you arrived at Gauntlgrym), a small maw of flame appears in the air before you, and after a few seconds an envelope shoots out of it. The maw then shrinks and disappears with a pop. Inside the envelope are a note and this:

The note is written in shaky handwriting and appears to be stained with tears. It reads:
Hello, it's Jeff here. Some nice lady who couldn't run faster than I could float is writing down what I say, and there's a wizard in town who can find where you are and send this to you. Maybe he can teach me some new spells! A lot of people don't like my eyeball spells, which isn't really fair because when I turned up in town there were all these people who were celebrating, so I tried to put on a show with my eye beams going all over the place, which looked great, but everyone ran away screaming. Anyway, apparently they were having a 'wedding', and I've decided I want one too. The woman here says she wanted her wedding in Helm's Hold because there's a nice church, but she had to have it here because she didn't have enough money, and now she can't have it because all her guests fled town and the church here was disintegrated. I don't know what a church or money is, or a wedding really, but the nice woman is going to give me a spare invite to give to you. She's pointed me in the right direction so I'll be heading to Helm's Hold soon. Hope you can make it - dress nice.

Your true and eternal friend,
Jeff

Of all the unimaginable terrors we've unleashed on Faerun during our brief but eventful spell as an heroic troupe, Jeff is certainly my favourite.

And I'm not sure why but I've a funny feeling he'll do a better job of saving the world than we will.

Sorry folks, as soon as I left the Discord I buried myself in The Expanse and didn't see that Mantis had arrived until about quarter to ten.

I'm glad Jeff is having a jolly time of things, but why do I get the feeling that invite he's passing along is to come and remove him from said wedding?

I'm going to have to work tonight so we'll have to postpone this week's game I'm afraid. Someone has royally ballsed up their data, and I'm having to comb through a load of data history to demonstrate this to them and prove that it's not anything we've done. ](*,)

That's ok, it was already going to be a bit of a challenge for me to make it as various stuff going on here. I didn't want to cancel because of it, but freeing up the evening will be quite handy.

Fine with me, I'm pretty shattered today.

Next week might be a bit touch and go because of work, but I'll try!

Any day this week should be fine for me.

Tuesday, Thursday or Friday would be the least hectic for me with the girls' various post-school activities on Monday and Wednesday, but if those are the best for others then they should probably be fine.

I can tentatively do Tuesday to Thursday but I'm on call this week so there's a chance I could be sent out with work at any moment.

I likely won't be able to do tomorrow as I may have a job interview on wednesday. I can't really commit to any day at the moment sadly.

No worries - let us know if there's a day you can make it, and good luck with the interview! :)

Hope the job interview went well Raid. :)

Are we thinking we might be able to squeeze in a session tomorrow night?

Yeah, tomorrow ought to be fine.

The job interview didn't happen, they cancelled on me twice before telling me earlier today that they'd decided not to fill the position. To be honest I'm a little glad, there were too many alarm bells going off in my head about it. I'm still angry mind; my anxiety means that I'm perpetually tense when a job interview is coming up, and they put me in that position three times.
