I've had to write risk assessments for the welfare of new staff at work longer than what they released today!

The document leaked to the Times a month ago (which included almost verbatim what's been released today) was 37 pages long. Reporters are also saying that civil servants and the government in Gibraltar are saying that some of this is 18 months old, so seriously out-dated. The fact that they've released these 5 pages - which no doubt represent the least damaging scenario they could put out - just makes it even more disturbing.

Sam Coates has a good thread from the document he saw last month:

The government said no-deal mitigations would be published in due course.

I suspect that if they *had* any No Deal mitigations, they'd have been published alongside the Yellowhammer papers, because, y'know, they said that Yellowhammer was the absolute worst case scenario and they didn't want to panic anyone by releasing them.

So today Boris has been called "the father of lies" by one of Scottish QCs.

In the same sentence, the same QC said "...but the truth shall set us free". Both of these phrases are quotations of Jesus from St. John's Gospel, Chapter 8. In the context, Jesus was describing Satan as "the father of lies". Therefore, the QC is not so subtly suggesting Boris Johnson is Satan.

Boris is a self serving arse. Everything wrong with politics wrapped up in a twat.

So Thomas Cook have gone tits up and said that Brexit has had a significant effect on their buying power which is why they've slipped so heavily into debt. Newspaper outlets interviewing Brexiteer Travelers who are stuck abroad and it's remarkable how many of them say that Thomas Cook are talking rubbish and Brexit has nothing to do with it.
