Some notes on the mission:
* You can see in the opening post I now have access to additional Androids on this mission, compared to last.
* The Primary Mission Token goes to the player who kills the Chaos Commander.
* A much easier objective than last mission, but there are 30 more points on the board elsewhere this time. So the person who kills the Chaos Commander might not win the mission. The player with the most points wins.
* Lots of long corridors here, so Plasma guns could be hugely useful.
* Don't forget there is a Dreadnought lurking somewhere....

So Commanders. I will need from each of you:

1. Your choice of heavy weapons + Commander's weapon.
2. Your choice of Order & Equipment cards. (See below)
3. The starting order of your Marines in the docking claws.
4. A D20 dice roll to determine which order you will take turns.

Mantis - you get to choose 1 Order Card and 6 Equipment Cards.
Sly Boots - you get to choose 2 Order Cards and 7 Equipment Cards.
Animalmother - you get to choose 1 Order Card and 5 Equipment Cards.

(When using Targeters please also say which weapon they are for)

Blood Angels reporting in!

Lt 'Slayer' Gorman got a taste for H2H and will be donning his power glove and sword once more.

- We've pulled another Hudson from the cloning pod, and a Missile Launcher has been pressed into his bemused, still-goopy, hands.
- Someone tried taking the Plasma Rifle from Vasquez's hands and lost a tooth for their trouble. She'll be taking that to her grave, I feel.
- Drake looks longingly at his cannon, but after deliberations with his CO has decided to take up a Bolter for this mission.
- Apone does likewise.

Orders:

- Fire!
- Photon Grenades

Equipment:

Will take everything except one of the Targeters. Hudson (missile) will equip our targeter.

Deployment order:

First row left, Gorman
First row right, Apone
Second row left, Drake
Second row right Vasquez
Third row, Hudson (doesn't matter which side)

Rolled 13 for initiative.

Close Assault Blades and Bolt Pistols are an excellent combination for the Blood Angels. Your Bolters have 1 extra white dice in H2H combat AND you can now attack diagonally, reducing the opponents H2H dice by 1. So Gretchins can't roll any dice at all!

If you are going to get rid of a heavy weapon for a Bolter, then the Assault Cannon is probably the weakest of the 3 overall.

H2H is still a risky business for Bolters though.....

I mainly figured that if I was taking those equipment cards it probably made sense to maximise their usefulness. It could be a terrible mistake :lol:

By the way, in case you didn't realise, I should mention that Targeters are for types of weapon, not individuals. So if you have 2 Bolters, the Targeter will work on both of them.


Looks likes Animalmother isn't around this evening, so shall we aim for tomorrow evening? We can still do the odd turn during the day, as and when you're each available.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling great. Don't force yourself to take part if you're not feeling up to it mate.

Perhaps see how you're feeling tomorrow - if you end up thinking it might put you out for the week, it's okay - me, Sly & Mantis could potentially play with 3-players this time round. The game works fine with either amount.

And then you could just pick up where you left off in Mission 3? It's up to you.

Ah its nothing bad, just a flu I think. Should be ok in a day or so.

Just pretend my squad are stuck in the airlock and are waiting for a less than enthusiastic maintenance guy to show up and whack something with a wrench.
