Sure. It's quite a trade off to make really, it weakens you a lot. Plus, with all 8 cards you can have 2 Targeters.

But... the extra promotion does give you 1 extra Order card.

Good to know, although to be honest I don't think I've used all my order cards in any of the missions yet. In fact, I think the only one I used this time was the bonus one picked up mid-mission!

Hopefully I get more badges in the next one (assuming I survive), to make a lower equipment loadout less painful.

4 badges is always the maximum you can have at any one time. It's why you currently have 4, even though you've been awarded 5 over both missions.

So, going by the rules, any more badges you earn next mission won't be added to your total since you're maxed out.

I guess the question is: Do you want to 'reset' it to 0 & get the extra promotion now, which would then allow you to start building them up again.

I will reset my badges and take the extra promotion.

That was a very close mission. So well done all. The missions will now start to get a bit more challenging though as we say hello to a new game feature; alien reinforcements.

How many missions are there? Doesn't seem like it will take that many when the previous winners can jump up extra ranks like that.
