It's not that it was a bad film, I quite enjoyed it at the time, it's just that whenever you see Americans referencing it, they completely ignore the fact that it was meant to be satirical. "America, Fuck Yeah!" has become their unofficial national anthem on sites like Reddit. You can't remind such people of this without suffering a flurry of downvotes.

Insomnia. 3 hours sleep the night before last. 5 hours last night. Doing really great this week!

I sympathise with that. I've had two near-sleepless nights in the last week due to high anxiety, brought on by two separate acts of utter selfishness from two separate people. I tried every trick in the book to take my mind off it, with zero success. It's a weird thing that the more tired you are, the harder it is to sleep, I imagine because your body starts to run on adrenaline.

I think part of it is also because I've had 2 days holiday in the last 6 months, so I'm completely fried. If I can get to next Thursday then I've got 18 days off. All I want for Christmas is sleep!

I had 6.5 hours last night, so I'm slowly building up. Was in quite a grumpy mood when I woke, though I think this was enhanced by some aches and pains I've been having in my neck and shoulders this week, as well as some weird rash that's broken out on my neck and upper left arm.

Foxes screaming and cats fucking or fighting sets the local dogs off barking. I'm a very light sleeper so this nightly chorus of animal music is a tad grating.
