Cheers mate, that's really helpful. Glad to hear your coping with it. I've been meaning to go to the doctor about it all right and get my blood pressure checked.

No worries. :) The good news is that once you start talking about it with people and find ways to handle the anxiety, it does get easier. In my case it's never gone away but it doesn't bother me anything like it used to because I understand now that a panic attack in the moment feels infinitely more serious than it is in reality, not least because it can't cause you any physical harm. I also used to really fret about panic attacks in public, but when you realise that most people won't even notice or give it any thought then it's not a big deal, and the ones that do notice are probably those who have had panic attacks themselves. I had a panic attack while going for my last covid jab (bizarrely it's not the injection that gets me, it's the queuing) and told the nurse what was happening when I sat down shaking and sweating, and she was incredibly friendly and patient as we waited for it to subside. I've found that showing a small amount of vulnerability can bring out the absolute best in people.

It's a good point to make, Wrathbone, that anxiety and excitement elicit the same/extremely similar physical reactions. I speak with my patients about this on appropriate occasions.

Today I discovered a kids clothing brand called Mayoral.

Do they not think this over? Maybe go with another name? Like any other name? ](*,)

I'm lost on the significance of the name... should I google it or would that be bad?

It helps to break it down into a three and four-letter word...

The fucking heat. Just brought the dog for a walk and I'm not sure which one of us is more exhausted by it. My pasty skin does not like big firey ball in sky.
