Yeah, I think they've worked out that there just isn't a way to blame this on the last Labour government.

I was just in city centre to meet my gf. There was hordes of teenagers and millennial bellends strolling about with plastic pint glasses. There's a few pubs serving beers out the door and the place is fucking thronged with aforementioned shites. No public toilets, no fast food places or anywhere to take a piss, it's going to get very messy.

Boris has already said that the lockdown has been relaxed because he expects people to use good old "British common sense", so they're already geared up to blame it on the public when we have a huge second wave.
I mean, if we were offered a button labeled "kill everyone crowded in a Wetherspoons", would we not consider pressing it?

And that's the story of why I'm not allowed near pregnant women for the next few weeks.

I live next to a woody area with a large open space. Its been taken over by teenagers who start camp fires and leave them for the park fairy to put it out.

Looking at the photos of those beaches that are covered in litter, I don't know what's happened to this country sometimes. :(

I remember vividly in the 80's on family holidays in the UK when we left beaches in Cornwall in the evening (which had been packed in the afternoon) and they were nice and clean still. Everybody took a bag with them to put rubbish into.

Same, I'm odd in that I still take all my trash with me leaving the cinema too. Child of the time I suppose.

They're somehow more ridiculous than the idiots shown in the Parks and Rec public forums, christ.

I just don't understand the objection to wearing a mask. One woman sat up there, on camera, talking to government officials, to say she was dead against slightly muffling someone's voice? Really? More than one person there said they wouldn't be able to breathe, with one going so far as to say God's marvellous creation of the human respiratory system would be defeated by a 10cm bit of cloth. I'd love to respond that if this were the case, perhaps God's creation isn't that impressive.

And I just don't get how people don't understand that masks aren't to protect the wearer, they're to protect everyone else. Each and every one of those people think that their "liberty" is more important than every single other person's health.

There is one lady among that lot that has at least a vague reason for not wanting to wear one, and that's issues with PTSD. I know at least one person whose daughter is autistic, and she would not respond well to being forced to wear a mask, or the faces of her family being covered.
