I am without TV, so haven't seen it on the news, but what these slugs don't seem to grasp is the weight and momentum of lived experience that is driving the vehemence of anger people are showing. What a leader, incapable of grasping the idea that you inspire by example, not by blind self-entitlement. I feel nothing but utter contempt for these people and their choices.

Even now, we haven't seen the worst yet. There is a big vat of shit yet to be bundled up for Johnson to drag out with him when he finally leaves.

A folk singer from the Czech Republic has died after deliberately catching Covid, her son has told the BBC.

Hana Horka, 57, was unvaccinated and had posted on social media that she was recovering after testing positive, but died two days later. Two days before she died, she wrote on social media that she was recovering: "Now there will be theatre, sauna, a concert". On Sunday morning, the day she died, Ms Horka said she was feeling better and dressed to go for a walk. But then her back started hurting, so she went to lie down in her bedroom.

"In about 10 minutes it was all over," her son said. "She choked to death".

Her son, Jan Rek, said she got infected on purpose when he and his father had the virus, so she could get a recovery pass to access certain venues.

Cressida Dick is now saying the Sue Gray report will be delayed while police investigate, which rings alarm bells. Why wait to investigate until this particular claim of partying came along? Could it be because the potentially damning report was imminently about to be published?

Who's betting that the Met will drag their feet on this for ages and then at a politically opportune moment announce that no action will be taken?

He's going to get away with it. If he's not pushed out by his spineless MPs then the police investigation will be inconclusive after a couple of months and then the Gray report will be hushed away when BJ reviews it and finds himself innocent of any wrongdoing and the media/public fury will have long died down.

I've always assumed that he'd get away with it, he's gotten away with everything else, why should this be any different?

But yeah, the current playbook is just to deny, deny, deny, then delay, delay, delay. It's utterly ridiculous. What possible reason do the MET have for announcing this investigation today, rather than last week?

At least common sense won out there, and yet somehow the report couldn't quite make it in time for PMQs. What a surprise! Look at all the surprise I'm emitting.

Also lets see what is published, the full report or a heavily redacted "Oh yeah, what the fuck are you peasants going to do about it?" from the CONservatives...

I bet Boris is just praying Russia invades the Ukraine right now to distract from all this.

Made even better by the fact that apparently there were Tory MPs in an absolute mad panic about it because they thought it was a genuine leak.

Yeah, it's a little telling that they consider that believable.
