I'm still not 100% sure that isn't photoshopped but the game is getting heavily discounted now because no bugger wants it.

Also this...

Not half as disappointed as the people who paid money for it. Fuck off EA, do better.

They can transition to "pay people to play" and I still won't download this nonsense.

I think Battlefield as an IP isn't long for this world. The dreaded FTP nuclear option very rarely ever saves a title. Very disappointing :(

I doubt that they would make the entire game f2p. I reckon they might just make the 'main' game f2p but leave Portal to the people who paid. Not sure the other way round would make sense for selling cosmetics etc.

Coming to Game Pass next month if anyone cares...

They're also reintroducing the class system instead of having every character being able to do everything.

Battlefield 1 has had a massive player surge after going on sale. 31,000 concurrent players versus 2400 of BF2042.

EA and Dice finally realising what must be done to bring gamers into the game - after an entire year ignoring/objecting to everything the community told them was wrong with it...

Anyone who worked on the previous games left after BF1 and BFV and far as I know so all the talent just wasn't there anymore and it really showed. Former Dice devs formed their own studios and are working on other stuff.

Doesn't appeal to me but the destruction looks amazing and the chaos just screams Battlefield.
