I read the Polygon review which was an interesting take on things. as it doesn't really seem to go into details of the mechanics so much. My creaky PC won't run this so I never had any intention of getting it until I upgrade or get a current gen console but I'm very interested in it.

But...I may fold and end up buying it in the next few weeks anyway because I've been so looking forward to it. Announced in 2012 and it's finally here, the temptation is great.

Not great, I'm surprised there isn't an epilepsy warning at the start of the game and that this managed to get through console cert as it used to be part of their testing.

Any preference on which of the 3 origin stories you pick yet?

Not sure really, I've avoided a lot of the pre-release hype so not entirely sure what options are available in character creation, so I'll just go where the mood takes me :)

Thats my plans buggered. Had surgery yesterday for carpal tunnel decompression and foolishly didn't think that after the event it would hurt like a motherfucker. Left hand feels like a truck went over it, don't think I will be playing it tomorrow!

I'd imagine that would take a few weeks to recover from fully, better not be too rash and end up buggering it up again mate.

Will see how console reviews turn out before deciding to get it sooner rather than later.

Seems there was warnings on the start of the game and on the back of the box about it.

No there isn't a warning at the start of the game, just in the EULA which nobody reads. CDPR have said they will look to add a separate warning to the game and are working on a long term fix for the issue.

So the game is 58gb to download on GOG's launcher. Do we know yet whether this includes the Day 1 patch, or am I going to need to download another 50gb tomorrow?

Immediately after downloading the Gog launcher then started downloading a 10gb update, which I presume is the day 0 patch? So I'd imagine the 50gb patch will also be needed tomorrow.

Edit: actually the update was 30gb, so maybe that's it?
