Been meaning to get back into E:D recently, and have a Founder edition of the game so this will be free for me (I am guessing it will be a paid DLC).

Waiting on the Dev's to fix what ever has changed in the windows 10 May update (build 2004) that has broken the Launcher from working. Was going to do some VR mining and stuff while streaming it. Wasn't the only person to report the issue, so hopefully a quick fix in the next weeks :)

So just be cautious of the May update screwing up the netframework for you.

I have that update installed and it is working fine for me. Just had a nice little spot of LTD mining, only spoilt by the system chat spilling into my private group game, what a bunch of wangs they were!

Where are you at, progress wise? Are you working your way towards your ideal ship or sat on piles of millions and surrounded by engineered parts?

I ask as if the former, I would be happy to show you how to do deep-core mining and quickly get you rolling in money :)

I just rollbacked my Os to 1909 to fix the issue for now. Then the fleet patch came so maybe it was fixed then

Had to buy a new mini display port cable as I found out mines was busted when trying to get Steam to recognise the VIVE and get into some Elite last night. Hopefully it goes well when the cable arrives later today and I can do a bit of VR chill this week :)

Last time i played someone showed me how to do deep core mining, i have like 6-7 ships suited out for different things with 250mil in the bank.

Currently I am flying my diamondback explorer with a 33-34ly jump range and carrying 2 SVUs to play around on planet surfaces for fun when I want a change of pace, or if i find something interesting

I have began engineer missions, I think I am up to Grade 3 with felicity farseer if im not mistaken, and have not gone to anyone else yet.

I think before i quit playing last I was gathering materials at Davs point and it really drained my enthusiasm for the game cause how repetitive it was.

I still need to learn the ins and outs of engineering, cause i have materials which I think i can exchange for the ones I need but gotta go to certain places to trade them I think. half my time playing this game is usually just learning what is the "Best" path to get things done

New one at Col 285 Sector CC-K a38-2|1B. Its more our of the way. I think its was 250ly from Sol and 100 outside the bubble, not too bad.

Did a run and yup, its good, 230mil profit in about 90mins. Place is hoachin with carriers which will refuel you and buy your LTDs at not awful prices. You'll get more if you go to station but 120LY vs giving a carrier some profit is no choice! Theyre also parked right on the rings so once you fill up its a few ls till you can sell them and loop back.

I didnt think to check if you can transfer a ship or parts to a carrier or not. Fitting for jump to get out there and then swapping for full mining fit once you get there would be pretty good.

I did doze off doing it and woke up with my conda at 30% hull smacking into a rock \:D/

I booted this up for the first time in years, having forgotten just how complex it all was. I think it took me 10 minutes just to bind all of the controls I was expecting to use. It's a little irritating that there isn't any sort of joystick sensitivity option in game; my joystick is a proper high-end flight sim controller with strong springs, and it's not really designed to have the user pulling the stick to the maximum deflection all the time, so my arm is getting a proper workout. The stick's software doesn't have a way of reducing sensitivity on a per-game basis.

I'm still stuck in the same position I was in shortly after the game first released; I've got a Viper (Mk.3 I think) and about 200k spacebucks to my name. What's the best way to go about making my fortune these days given my presumably low-end equipment?
