That's a pre-order from me, no question.

With cheatengine it might be a good game.

Ignore any detractors
You are DarkSydePhil and I claim my five Twitch bits d00d
Ummm I don't know what any of that means :-k
Neither did I until last Xmas when I encountered:

tl;dw - inflated YouTube gaming celeb milking people for money (and the haters are "detractors" because that sounds intelligent) who accidentally filmed himself milking himself before a stream. Has recently paid for a wedding with the proceeds of what was supposed to be his tax bill.

I count Red Dead Redemption as one of my favourite games of all time, couldn't wait for this to come out. I played the first hour of RD2, basically the tutorial, and never went back. It's an amazing looking game full of atmosphere but the controls are an utter pain in the bollocks. I probably will have another crack at it when the mood takes me, but no time soon. I'm guessing with a keyboard the controls will be easier, you'll just need every key on the fucker.

I absolutely love it.

I bought it for the PS4 last year when my wife went off on her annual jaunt to NYC with her mum, and just fell in love.

The control scheme is hard work, but that's my only complaint. The game is an amazing US frontier sandbox with everything you could want from such. Shoot outs, bar brawls, bank and train robberies, endless little incidental things to find, a hunting element that makes sense, a game world that evolves as you progress through the game. I paid full price for this on the PS4 and I will absolutely do the same for the PC version, I can't wait for it to look as good as I know it can, even though it looks mighty purdy just on the TV.

I remember getting a 4GB HDD and thinking that there was no way I could ever hope to fill it.

This was all just fields back then... *sigh*

I see the new Call of Duty is 175GB. Looks like devs have said "remember that compressing and optimising thing we used to do? Fuck it!"

Jesus Fuck. I don't think I've even had that much space free on this HDD since I got back onto my Emp account.

I can kind of see where the 150gb might go on RDR. But 175gb for a Call of Duty game is frankly stupid.

Are you kidding? I may not care a jot for the game, but graphically it's incredible. Is it lazy programming? Perhaps, but given how many environments the game looks to be visiting (meaning assets are less likely to be reused), I don't think it's *too* surprising.

I don't really mind comparatively huge install sizes, it's rare that I play more than one game at a time anyway so clearing space is rarely much of an issue.

Witcher 3 was also graphically impressive and whilst the world wasn't quite as big it was only around 50gbs.

its a good thing we do not have data caps in the UK. In the US where data caps is a thing, this must be a nightmare to manage. For a country that prides itself on competition, their internet is run by only a few corporate giants.
