Elite: Dangerous [PC, PS4, XBone]

Post by Lee » Sun Aug 12, 2018 11:08 pm

Righty might as well guess this thread back on then shall we ;)

Doing the FSD upgrades at last. Bought the meta alloys in Maia sector from the Darnielle's Progress base for 113k for the one but that's all what was needed.
Now I have to get a apothecial wake scan completed for the next part to unlock the first FSD range improvement. Only thing was I had to go and grab a wake scanner from the nearby Orbital station.

Next time I am on it's scanning time :)

Fit it in something mega nippy and head to a busy high population system hang around outside a station and scan all the wakes as they enter and leave. You'll have it no time at all.

Just sat out side a starport and waited for ships to leave and got 10 of them in no time. Rank 1 done now to Rank 2.

And fucking hell is the SRV hard to control with a hotas setup

Been on the hunt for chemical processors on a well known planet and bouncing around just trying to get to gripes with the SRV. Nippy little fucker though.

You can get those by destroying certain types of ships also. You'd have to Google it ... try inara.com for all sorts of ED reference stuff.

It's hard to do in VR too. Almost nausea inducing.

Aye but I wanted to do it nice and slowly, wasn't in a rush for it and got all that I needed to get to Rank 2 in a short time (ED time that is). Now got to stock up on them and chemical stuff for the next rank. Can do almost 32LY jumps in my Asp now :)

Aye snowy mentioned that in driving games VR can be really bad for it. Not helped in supped up go kart bouncing all over the place from the terrain.

You can go bonkers on this though and trim loads of weight off. I've seen a screen shot of a 61 ly asp. Mind you that was pre the engineer rework some months ago.

Was going to try triming some of the stuff off but then I be flying a hull and shield plant to reach that level.

Oh Snowy there is some stations that you can sell the other bounties in, you lose 25% off them but I still pulled in over 2m credits without flying all over the place to hand them in.

Not showing an awful lot there. I'm holding out on a reinstall until the last chapter of Beyond where exploration and such gets a big update.

Aye I have no idea on the Guardians stuff myself and the leaked info on the two ships is variants of already ships. Newer ships though. Might be teases at Gamescon though.

I'm just shy of reputation rank to get one of the ships now, all the money is in the bank just waiting for it then Imperial Clipper will be added to my fleet :D
