No, that icon is red and does nothing when the key is held (you can see it fill in as you hold the button, but nothing happens at the end). My brother was equally confused when I said that menu didn't work, so I may have encountered a bug.
Ah I remember now, it was like that for me for a while until some random progression restored the car list again. Sadly I can't remember which mission it was exactly.

Just had a heck of a run in the El Coyote neighborhood (I went back to the bar for a *very good reason* hint hint). After I started wandering, here's what I found:
Spoiler
There's a long quest that involves taking scans of 20 graffiti'd tarot cards around the city. One is in an abandoned building. The graffiti isn't hard to find - but explore more, be diligent, go where you think maybe you won't be able to reach. Turn on spotlights that are scattered about as you explore. It's creepy as freaking hell, and there's at least one legendary item to find. The game definitely doesn't do much hand-holding and that includes this exploration stuff. It's well worth it, though.
Speaking of exploring, getting the double-jump implant/whatever it's called is very much worth it. There's tons of parkour opportunities with lots of little hidden crates and amazing vistas, not to mention utility in the tune of jumping over fences, walls, whatever, and clambering up on top of roofs to find alternate entrances.
If Edwin's being an Edwin does he call himself an Edwin?

Regarding the bike and Jackie's mum, what happens there is all dependant on where you send the body.

Raid, I found this thread that shows people are having the same issue:

It seems uncertain whether it's bugged due to the order in which you may have picked up keys/read the message, or whether it will just fix itself after a period of time and the inaccessible vehicles button will suddenly start working. Hopefully the latter.

I know I'm starting to sound like the Cyberpunk cheerleader but I just have to share another tale of adventure, something that occurred two nights ago. Into the spoiler tag we go:
Spoiler
Notice all those pedestrian bridges going across so many towers in Night City? Wish some of them were actually useable? Well, some of them are, at least in Japantown. I spent over two hours suspended in the air, up to 21 stories above the highways. I jumped along the sides of buildings. I rode up and down elevators that took me even further afield. I walked inside and on top of several of those trans-building bridges. This was all across just one street and two major buildings. I got dizzy at times. I saved often because I got completely lost. Double-jumping made much of this possible. I found at least one legendary item. I didn't fire my weapon a single time - there was nobody, it was all spookily silent, though at one point I had to defuse some mines. I don't know if I stumbled into some sort of future DLC area? Then again, it wasn't so hard to get started on this adventure, just innocently making my way up some stairs and whatnot so I could take a pic in front of some billboards. If you wanna know where I was or whatever, just ask :)

I think you stumbled upon an area for a main mission later on in the game, still cool that it lets you run around in it though!

A quick query. Does the game performance cap out at an imposed temperature? No matter how long I play I always have the PC running at 50c on exit.

I've never known a game to run to a thermal limit; could you have that set in your graphics card driver somewhere?

You're most likely correct. Now that I recall, there were several spots that raised the 'combat zone' flag on my mini-map.

Well then that Arasaka ending is, err...
Spoiler
don't deal with the devil kids.
Pretty good game. I didn't get any NPC glitching out like the reviewers had thankfully. A solid 8/10, would play again.

Are CDPR in danger of going tits up over this game?

I wouldn't have thought so, they were in profit on it on day one.

I'm going to replay this one day, doing as much of an RPG playthrough as the game will allow. I was thinking it would be interesting to keep a journal of my escapades, and be more cautious, act more like a citizen than a bad-ass. I'll have to think it over, how best to go about it. I've seen playthroughs on YT for Skyrim and such, might be an interesting challenge for this game. Like, put the non-lethal chips into any weapons that usually are lethal, restrict myself to crafting clothing and health items only, etc.

Anyway, playing at lvl 18 tech and 15 int, dropping entire groups with quickhacks and finishing off long range enemies with a smart sniper rifle. This game is 98% perfect for me already, can't wait for DLC, mods, dev patches...

Holy shit, I think I just found the Batmobile

Sadly like all the rest of the cars it handles like a hippo on ice skates, so I'll be sticking to Jackie's bike for the foreseeable...
