Like we said the other night on the D&D Discord, I loved it already when it first came out, I was fortunate not to experience a lot of the technical issues other people had, but 2.0 and the DLC has taken it to a whole new level, and I have no reservation recommending it to people now. I agree that it's one of the best in the genre, and hopefully CDPR take all the lessons they learned from 2077 into the sequel.

I was lucky on that front too, and this time there were only two bugs that caused me any grief: one where I had to wait a day for a call from Rogue, who hadn’t called after several days (had to go through some rigmarole to trigger it), and the other was annoyingly during the epilogue, where entering a vehicle resulted in instant death for no reason (fixed by opening the map beforehand, for reasons unknown). Overall a very smooth experience, though.

DLSS 3 frame generation held up very well too, as it can cause flickering on text and other items in some games. I think it was causing some advert screens to glitch, but it’s hard to tell because it could have been something intentional in-game. A thematically appropriate bug! Totally worth it though because it allowed me to play with ray tracing at 90+ fps. It looks stunning.

This game is soooo fucking good post the patch. Gone with a combat-heavy pistols and katana build, and just unlocked the ability to deflect bullets with the katana directly at the targeting reticule. I am a very nasty surprise for snipers now :D

I'm doing much the same thing with my V. The dash ability makes melee combat so much more fluid and satisfying.

I like the mantis-blades, but also like to engage in a little fisticuffs, for example to non-lethal finish off cyberpsychos, which they don't give the option to do. Gorilla arms for me :)

The whip-cable things, forgot their name, are great fun also, can hit multiple targets at a time.

Anyone tried the new projectile cyberware system yet?

I have mono wire but never think to use it. Might replace with gorilla arms as I often find myself unable to open locked doors.

I've (probably foolishly) been going with a jack of all trades build and have points in everything. Need to experiment a bit more.

Another huge update for the game today. Think it allows you to jump straight into Phantom Liberty without playing the main game, auto completes some missions and such like. They're really staying on top of it this time, if only like this from the start.

Aye, so this is really good. I've been on a cyberpunk kick recently and came to this straight after Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - they're different enough from each other.

Anyway, I'm still fairly early on in my playthrough (not much after Konpeki Plaza heist) and I'm just absorbed in the world. I've gone a Reflex and Tech build with some Int on the side for some hacks and smart guns. Very blade oriented, just recently started with electrified mantis blades, and explosives. I'll check out the rocket arm once I have a katana that's powerful enough to replace my blades.

Had some bugs here and there, but nothing that's ruined the experience as a whole.

I found the rocket arm to be a real disappointment. Gorilla arms all the way for me, along with my trusted katana. Bullet deflection with the katana is a joy, especially when you come up against an opponent sniper and send their bullets winging their way back into their own cranium with a jedi-like deflection.

Played this for a few hours yesterday. Love the way the world seems to carry on regards of what your doing. I was in Pacifica doing a mission and noticed a helicopter swoop in opposite a distant block of flats and rip it apart with gunfire then fly off again. Nothing to do with me or my mission. Later standing on a pier I watched 2 gangs have a gunfight on the beach and wipe each other out. Again nothing to do with me (other than looting the dead), it just happened. I assume they are scripted to occur when your in that area but it felt spontaneous anyway. Love it.
