EDIT: Apparently that thing about the rights reverting to Obsidian might not be true, Eurogamer say that Sega have told them it is due to music license rights running out.
I didn't see the appeal in the first game. I have no idea if it was another cursed development rushed title due to publisher or on the hands of Obsidian. But Obsidian have been shown to be fucked over by publishers in past titles so I am kinda leaning that way.
