Fuck knows. I'm on all night tonight though, either grinding to top level on my main, or starting a new person with some of you chumps. Not sure how we can rally together though, do "we" (Gamer's Arms) have a Discord?

I'm Drarok#2352 on Battle.net if that helps at all. I can't figure out a way to get a link to my profile because Blizzard couldn't design a good piece of software if their entire existence depended on it.

We do, though it hasn't been used since this place opened.

Sent you a friend request.

What the hell, could be up for a bit of co-op action if a group of us can sort out being around at the same time.

Being on all night turned into having to look after the kid, ah well. Perhaps later in the week, or even the weekend? Probably be doing something I've forgotten about though, d'oh!

How many people can actually play together in this? The game's website is atrocious for actual information.
Four apart from Strikes when it is just three.

I had a character from a previous trial that got to the Farm and progressed no further. I guess that's probably a decent enough place to start from?

If that's the same farm camp Mantis mentioned on the last page, that's where I got up to as well.

Clearly we all put the game down at the first available opportunity.

Started a new character last night to play with some mates who'd got D2 for free. The requirement of having to churn through a certain portion of the campaign before being allowed to team up for PvE is annoying, and the unskippable cutscenes infurating… but overall I had fun. Having people to play with definitely makes this game way better than just blasting through the campaign alone.

I don't remember levelling up this fast back when I first got the game, I assume they've adjusted the levelling to bring people up faster so they'll reach the point where they'll need to buy DLC quicker.

I've enjoyed dabbling in this a bit more in the last few days - more than i expected tbh.

The opening grind is horrid, especially the bit where you have to crawl through the level... just let me at the game please!!! ](*,)

I still find the game very derivative and unexceptional, but it's enough to while away a bit of time here and there.

Oh god, that fucking section can fuck allllll the way off. Not only do you have to move at the most painfully slow pace I've ever experienced (even slower than Joe Public walks when standing three abreast on the pavement when I'm late for work), but it wasn't clear to me at all where the fuck I was supposed to go or what I was supposed to do the first time I played. I assumed (given the ridiculous pace) there was something in my immediate vicinity, or perhaps just at the foot of the hill you spawn on.

So fucking frustrating. Having to do it again for my new character did not improve things.

Destiny 2: New Light

There is a Destiny 2 stream happening later today and Engadget accidentally posted their news story about it early. The headline is that once the new expansion launches on the 17th of September the base game will be going free-to-play. Other announcements are cross save but not on PS4 at this time, because Sony are idiots, and the game is moving from Battlenet to Steam.

Turns out PS4 saves are included, Sony agreed yesterday.

Also the free version will apparently be reworked slightly so that the start is different and will incorporate bits of the first game into it.
